Things conspire to all go wrong at the same time. This is a well known law. Calamity hangs around waiting to happen. Like the tin of yellow paint on the top shelf in front of the spare flourescent light tubes in my office.
“That light keeps flickering. Could you get some one to fix it for me?”
“Sure.” the afternoon is going so smoothly I leap straight up onto a desk and pull out the offending strip, stroll back to the store and catch it on the door frame so it explodes everywhere. Its not so easy to find an exact match to all those tiny shards of flourescent tubing but that box on the top shelf looks promising. Almost have one of the tubes out of the box but need a bit more angle to avoid hitting the poisons cabinet. Whoa, wait a minute, is that yellow paint… woops! Slow-mo yellow paint tin swan dive and perfect landing like a gymnist throwing her arms in the air. Yellow paint in an unbelievably slow vesuvius. Wow thats F a n t a s tic!
